About Billiard Tables and Equipment
A billiard table is the biggest purchase in this sport, so this category brings together the tables themselves and everything needed to keep them in shape. Pool tables come in three sizes: 7ft (bar box, for home and pub), 8ft (club standard) and 9ft (tournament). Snooker tables are full-size 12ft or compact 10ft. Listings feature Rasson, Diamond, Brunswick, Dynamic, WIK, Tournament Champion and Riley – new and used, often bundled with a ball set and cues.
What to check before buying: a slate bed at least 19 mm thick rather than MDF, solid K-66 rubber cushions (pool) or steel-block cushions (snooker), cloth condition and adjustable legs. A used slate table weighs 400–900 kg, so budget for disassembly, transport and re-levelling by a service technician.
Equipment lives in separate subcategories: cloth (Simonis 860, Strachan 6811), lighting, table covers, cue racks and holders, scoreboards, table parts (pockets, cushion rubber, nets) and installation tools. Buy through an auction, "Buy Now" or by contacting the seller, with no commission. How much a slate table costs and which size to pick – see the FAQ below. A detailed size comparison is in the guide which billiard table to buy, and current price ranges in how much a billiard table costs.
