About Stands and Racks

Cue racks and holders solve the problem that ruins the most cues: a cue leaned against a wall or a table bends within weeks, and a fallen one can crack at the joint.

A floor rack for 6–12 cues is the club standard; rotating versions hold cues and accessories in one place. A wall rack takes less room and suits a home better — the cues hang vertically, which is the safest position for the wood. There are also single-cue clips fitted to the rail for use during a frame. When buying, check the socket diameter: snooker butts are often thicker than pool ones and will not fit a narrow rack. For transport and storage away from a rack there are cases.
