Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-06-15
§1. General provisions
These Terms of Service govern the use of the BidBil platform available at bidbil.com, bidbil.pl and bidbil.eu (hereinafter: the „Service"). The Service operator is Technalab, VAT ID 5372176985, registered at Elizy Orzeszkowej 11, 21-500 Janów Podlaski, Poland (hereinafter: the „Operator").
Contact: e-mail info@bidbil.com, phone +48 513 044 332.
§2. Definitions
- User — an individual or business using the Service after creating an account.
- Listing — billiard equipment offered in one of three formats: timed auction with bids, Buy Now at a fixed price, or an open-ended announcement.
- Auction — a sale ending at a set time; the highest bid wins.
- Buy Now — instant purchase at a fixed price.
- Announcement — an open-ended listing with direct contact between the parties.
- Tournament — a billiard event organized by a User, with brackets and results tracked in the Service.
- Integration — automatic product synchronization between a User's shop (BaseLinker, WooCommerce, PrestaShop) and the Service.
§3. Registration and accounts
Most features of the Service require registration. Registration is free and available from any domain. Accounts can be created with an e-mail address and password, or via Facebook (OAuth2). When registering by e-mail, the User receives an activation link — clicking it activates the account and automatically signs the User in.
The User undertakes to provide true information. Each person may hold one account. Accounts can be deleted at any time by contacting the Operator.
§4. Free of charge and the C2C model
BidBil is free for individual users. We charge no sales commission, no listing fees for auctions, Buy Now or announcements. There are no hidden costs.
The Service operates on a C2C (consumer-to-consumer) model. The Operator does not handle payments, does not offer escrow and does not issue invoices for transactions between Users. All settlements (bank transfer, instant transfers, cash on delivery, courier COD) and shipping happen directly between the parties.
Only Integrations for shops (BaseLinker, WooCommerce, PrestaShop) are paid — pricing is available from the Operator on request.
§5. User obligations
The User undertakes to:
- publish accurate descriptions of listings (condition, brand, specifications, photos of their own equipment);
- not list items prohibited by law or unrelated to billiards;
- not include in descriptions content that is offensive, discriminatory or violates other Users' personal rights;
- communicate honestly with the other party and honor agreed transactions;
- not use bots or automated scripts for bidding.
§6. No scraping or unauthorized access
Any automated, bulk or unauthorized data extraction from the Service is prohibited, in particular:
- scraping and crawling the Service (headless browsers, Selenium/Puppeteer/Playwright, curl/wget scripts) bypassing the normal user path and without the Operator's written consent;
- harvesting seller phone numbers (circumventing the proof-of-work mechanism), e-mail addresses, postal addresses, listing descriptions or photos for the purposes of advertising, spam, telemarketing, selling databases or building a competing platform;
- circumventing technical safeguards of the Service, including rate limits, CAPTCHA, account or IP blocks, or anti-bot mechanisms;
- unauthorized access to the Service's API, including using internal endpoints outside the documented integrations (BaseLinker, WooCommerce, PrestaShop);
- creating multiple accounts (sock-puppets), fake accounts, buying or selling accounts, bid manipulation (shill bidding), manipulation of reviews or tournament statistics;
- actions disrupting the operation or availability of the Service for other users (DDoS, mass requests, form fork-bombs);
- reverse engineering of client source code, copying graphic designs or UI elements to launch a competing service.
The Operator reserves the right to immediately block the account and IP address without prior notice if the above actions are detected, to pursue damages for the technical cost of the attack and lost revenue, and where justified to notify law enforcement — such actions may constitute offences under Articles 267, 268, 268a and 269 of the Polish Criminal Code (unauthorized access to computer data, disruption of system operation) and the Database Protection Act.
For partner integrations (shops, aggregators) we provide an official, authorized API — contact: info@bidbil.com.
§7. Prohibited content
The Operator may remove a listing and/or block an account in case of:
- fraudulent or misleading offers;
- content infringing copyright (copied photos, descriptions);
- attempts to circumvent Service rules (e.g. encouraging off-platform transactions to commit fraud);
- spam, duplicate listings, attempts to manipulate the review system.
§8. Auctions and bidding
A bid is binding — by winning an auction, the User commits to the purchase. An auction may be cancelled only if no bid has been placed yet — cancelling later requires justification and may result in negative reviews. The auction duration is set by the seller (typically 3–7 days).
§9. Reviews
The review system lets parties leave a rating (1–5 stars + comment) after a completed transaction. Reviews are public and cannot be removed (except where they breach these Terms — e.g. profanity, personal data). Sellers may earn a blue „Verified" badge after confirming identity with the Operator.
§10. Tournaments
Any logged-in User may create a tournament (public or private) in one of 10 supported variants (8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball, 14.1, One Pocket, Bank Pool, Rotation, snooker 6-red, snooker 15-red, 3-cushion carom). The tournament organizer is responsible for:
- fair conduct of the event and accurate result entry;
- clear rules (race-to, break format, schedule);
- any entry fees or prize pool — the Operator does not handle tournament-related money flow.
Players may join with an account or as guest entries (no login). Results, brackets and statistics are publicly available for public tournaments.
§11. Limitation of liability
The Operator is not liable for:
- the quality, condition or description accuracy of items sold by Users;
- timeliness of payments and shipping between the parties;
- tax and customs settlements in international transactions;
- technical downtime due to maintenance or outages (announced in advance on the home page where possible).
If you suspect fraud, please report it to the Operator (we will block the account and retain the chat history as evidence) and to local law enforcement.
§12. Complaints
Complaints regarding the Service (not transactions between Users) may be submitted to info@bidbil.com. The Operator processes complaints within 14 days of receipt.
§13. Changes to the Terms
The Operator may amend the Terms for substantial reasons (legal changes, new features, security). Users are notified of changes at least 14 days in advance via e-mail and a banner on the home page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
§14. Final provisions
These Terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes not resolved amicably will be heard by the court competent for the Operator's seat (Janów Podlaski). Consumers may use out-of-court dispute resolution, including the ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
Matters not regulated by these Terms are subject to the Polish Civil Code, the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means and the GDPR.
