Transport

Billiard table transport is a service in its own right, not an add-on to a house move. A full-size slate table weighs over a tonne, and the bed splits into sections of 60–150 kg that must never be carried flat or stood on edge.

The correct order is: strip the cushions and cloth, lift the slates, break down the frame, move it, then assemble and level on site. The companies in this section do all of it — they arrive, dismantle, transport and rebuild. Price depends on table size, number of floors and distance; on a 12ft table it can exceed the value of a used table, so it is worth costing BEFORE you buy.
