About Gloves and Apparel
Billiard gloves solve a problem every player knows after an hour at the table: a sweaty hand stops releasing the cue and the stroke turns jerky. A glove gives constant, predictable glide regardless of humidity in the room.
It goes on the bridge hand, the front one — usually three fingers, with thumb and index left free. There are left- and right-hand versions in sizes S–XL; check which hand a listing is for. The material is elastane with lycra panels, sometimes with a leather palm. Regular players replace a glove every season, as the fabric wears and loses glide. This section also holds tournament shirts and waistcoats. An alternative to a glove is talc or hand powder from billiard accessories; see also chalks and cases.
