Predator

American technology. The pool tour standard.

About Predator

Predator Cues is an American brand from New York — pioneer of low-deflection shaft technology in the 1990s. Today it is the standard on the pool tour (Mosconi Cup, US Open, WPA World Championships). Legendary shafts Revo (carbon), P3 (wood + low-deflection), K3 (composite) used by Shane Van Boening, Fedor Gorst, Alex Pagulayan and other top world players.

Featured models and products

  • Revo shaft (carbon) — lowest deflection on the market, ~60% less than traditional maple
  • 3rd Generation (3G) cues: P3 REVO, K3, BK RUSH — tournament standards
  • Break cues BK Rush and Air2 with thin pin joint technology
  • Budget models Sport II and Throne 3 (~$400-800), tournament P3/K3 ($900-2100)
  • Custom Cue Program — Predator makes custom cues with player autographs

FAQ — Predator

Predator or Mezz — which is better?
These are two top brands on the pool tour, choice comes down to feel preference. Predator (USA) is known for low-deflection shafts (Revo carbon, P3 wood) and dominates in the US. Mezz (Japan) is production precision with PowerBreak/EC7 models popular in Asia. Both play at professional level. Similar pricing: $500-2000 for a main cue.
Which Predator shaft for a beginner?
For a beginner I recommend the P3 shaft (maple wood with low-deflection tech, ~$650) — real feel of classic wood with the bonus of low deflection. Revo (carbon, ~$1000) is the next step when you want maximum consistency. Do not start with a break cue (BK Rush) — that is a specialist cue only for the break shot.
How much does a Predator cue cost?
Budget models (Sport II, Throne): $400-800. Middle tier (P3): $900-1400. Top tournament (Revo, custom): $1400-4000. Shafts alone: P3 ~$650, Revo ~$1000, BK Rush break ~$500. Used premium Predators (2-3 years old) often sell for half retail.
Predator P3 vs Revo — what is the difference?
P3 is maple wood with Predator low-deflection technology (laminated core to minimize deflection). Revo is full carbon composite — even lower deflection and better consistency between shafts. Revo is heavier in hit (~5g difference), P3 gives classic wood feel. Tournament-wise more pros use Revo today, hobbyists more often P3.
