Which Aramith balls should I buy?
Premier (~$100-150) — start for amateurs, 15+1 complete set. Tournament TV Pro ($180-230) — if you play tournaments/streaming in a club (yellow stripes = better visibility). Super Pro ($230-380) — full tournament WPA standard. Duramith ($380-650) — top pro tour, 200x more durable. Home Premier or Tournament is enough, club Super Pro.
Aramith vs polyester balls — worth it?
Definitely worth it. Polyester balls (cheap "home billiard set" ~$40-60) have an average 3-6 month lifespan of regular play (yellow, lose color, deform). Aramith Premier plays the same after 5 years as day one — much lower cost per frame long-term.
How much do Aramith snooker balls cost?
Aramith 1G snooker set (22 balls 52.5 mm): $300-450. Aramith Premier snooker (starter): $200-300. Compare: Aramith carom balls (3 balls 61.5 mm): $130-200. Snooker balls do NOT fit on a pool table (52.5 mm vs 57.2 mm) and vice versa.
How to care for Aramith balls?
Phenolic balls are very durable but need cleaning — chalk and hand oils stick to the surface and cause skidding. Use Aramith Ball Cleaner (liquid) or Ball Restorer (~$15-25), soft cloth no abrasives. Frequency: tournament every 100-200 games, home every 3-6 months. Key: cue ball collects chalk fastest.
