Simonis 860 or 760?
860 is universal and forgiving, good for home and club. 760 is faster and thinner, the ball rolls further, which 9-ball players like, but it needs replacing more often. For a first table choose 860.
How long does Simonis cloth last?
At home 5–10 years, in a club with daily play 1–2 years. The decision to replace is made not by a hole but by worn tracks near the pockets and loss of speed. Regular brushing and clean balls extend its life.
Can I fit the cloth myself?
Technically yes, but stretching cloth over the slate and cushions without creases needs tools and experience. A mistake costs a new set. A technician charges 120–210 EUR labour; the cloth is bought separately or as a package.
