Which Kamui tip hardness should I choose?
Medium is the safe middle for most players. Soft gives more spin and better feel but wears faster. Hard holds its shape longest and suits break cues and carbon shafts, which are stiff anyway.
Is Kamui chalk worth 25 EUR?
One cube lasts a year of regular play, so the real cost is a couple of euros a month. The gain is fewer miscues with side spin and cleaner balls and cloth. For a recreational player a 1.5 EUR Master is enough.
Black or Clear?
Clear has a transparent base layer that leaves no dark marks on the ferrule and lets you see the glue line. Black is slightly livelier. In play the difference is minimal; most choices come down to looks.
